Cross-generational
A place where men and boys come together around activities that spark interest.
Louisiana Royal Rangers
Royal Rangers is an activity-based mentoring ministry for boys and young men in grades K through 12. Across Louisiana, local outposts and statewide events give boys the tools to become men through a Christ-centered, Spirit-empowered walk: integrity, doctrine, a biblical worldview, and what it means to be a man.

Rangers ministry is
Every outpost is a place where men invest in boys through adventure, skill, and the Word. The method is hands-on. The center is Christ.
A place where men and boys come together around activities that spark interest.
Teaching and guiding boys through experience and adventure, not lectures.
A biblically based program focused on mentoring boys through Christ.
"No man stands so tall as when he stoops to help a child."Abraham Lincoln

Four age groups, one trail
Boys advance through four groups from kindergarten to graduation. Each has its own advancement trail, merits, and national resources.

First steps on the trail. Big fun, simple skills, and a love for God's Word.
Advancement trail
Camping, crafts, and merits that build confidence and curiosity.
Advancement trail
Bigger challenges outdoors and the first real taste of leadership.
Advancement trail
Young men leading, serving, and preparing for life after graduation.
Advancement trailStatewide events
Four signature events bring outposts from every corner of Louisiana to Twin Lakes Campground and beyond. Details, packets, pricing, and registration live on the Louisiana Royal Rangers site.

A three-day, two-night father and son campout with a new theme every year, from Medieval Times to North American Game Hunt. Fathers and sons attend together, or a boy can come with a sponsor. The goal is simple: lifelong memories and a closer walk with Christ.

A full week of summer camp where boys advance through eleven age-based camps and corps, earn Royal Rangers merits, and gather in the Tabernacle each night for a Spirit-filled service. From derby races and first aid at age 8 to rappelling and search and rescue at 17.

Also called the Trace. Step back into the 1700s and 1800s for a weekend of tomahawk and knife throwing, flint-and-steel fire starting, archery, cooking, and frontier crafts. New members complete their Frontiersmen challenge here.

A themed day built for the youngest Rangers: field games, archery, Lego car racing, puppets, worship, and a stage show. Last year's Winter Games had the boys skiing downhill with JB Beaver.

Frontiersmen Camping Fellowship
FCF is the Royal Rangers honor program for boys 11 and up and the men who lead them. Members take frontier names, build period outfits, and master the skills of the early American wilderness: blacksmithing, leather craft, bowyery, and more. Louisiana's chapter is the Jim Bowie Chapter.
The first challenge and the doorway into FCF. Complete the workbook and application, then bring both to the Frontier Adventure.
For committed members who have deepened their skills. Be ready to wear and show your frontiersmen outfit, and log Trapper Brigade service hours.
The ultimate set of trials, for members ready to prove everything they have learned on the trail.
For churches and leaders
Every outpost begins with a church that says yes and a few men willing to show up. Training is ready when you are, online and in person.
Royal Rangers runs inside the local church, led by men from your congregation. The national Quick Start Guide walks through chartering, leader requirements, and your first meetings.
The short national guide covers what an outpost needs and how to charter.
Alton Foster and the regional coordinators help new outposts get going and connect you with nearby churches.
Adult leader training is available online and at district events, so you can start well.
Adult leader training is available online, at district training events, and at national camps and conferences. As leaders complete training they advance through the Outpost Leader Advancement Levels (OLAL).
