The Scriptures Inspired
The Bible, Old and New Testament alike, is the inspired revelation of God to humanity : infallible and authoritative, the rule by which we measure all faith and conduct.

Why we say it together
The Bible is our all-sufficient rule for faith and practice. The wording here is not inspired or final, but the truth it carries is essential: the common ground where we all speak the same thing.
A basis of fellowship · after 1 Corinthians 1:10; Acts 2:42

The sixteen at a glance
I Movement One
Where we begin: the Word, the one true God, His Son, our fall, and the salvation offered to all.
The Bible, Old and New Testament alike, is the inspired revelation of God to humanity : infallible and authoritative, the rule by which we measure all faith and conduct.
There is one true God, eternally self-existent: the great “I AM,” Creator of heaven and earth and Redeemer of mankind, who has revealed Himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. We hold to His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His substitutionary work on the cross, His bodily resurrection, and His exaltation to the right hand of God.
Humanity was created good and upright in God’s own image, but by a free choice to sin fell : incurring both physical death and spiritual death, which is separation from God.
Our only hope of redemption is the shed blood of Jesus Christ. Salvation is received through repentance toward God and faith in Christ, justifying us by grace and making us heirs of eternal life : witnessed inwardly by the Spirit and outwardly by a life of righteousness.
Two ordinances were given to the Church: baptism by immersion for all who repent and believe, declaring they have died and risen with Christ; and the Lord’s Supper, sharing the bread and cup as a memorial of His suffering until He comes.
II Movement Two
The promise of the Father, its evidence, and a life set apart and made holy.
Every believer can and should earnestly seek the baptism in the Holy Spirit : the promise of the Father, bringing power for life and service and the gifts of the Spirit for ministry. It is distinct from, and subsequent to, the new birth.
The baptism in the Holy Spirit is witnessed by the initial physical sign of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit of God gives the utterance.
Sanctification is the work of being set apart from evil and dedicated to God : a life of holiness made real through our union with Christ in His death and resurrection, and the daily work of the Holy Spirit.
III Movement Three
The body of Christ, its appointed ministry, and its compassion for a hurting world.
The Church is the body of Christ and the dwelling of God by His Spirit. Her mission is to evangelize the world, to worship God, to build believers into the image of His Son, and to show His love and compassion to all people.
God calls and ordains a ministry to lead the Church in four things: reaching the lost, worshiping God, discipling believers into Christ’s image, and meeting human need with love and compassion.
Divine healing is an integral part of the gospel. Deliverance from sickness was provided for in the atonement and is the privilege of all who believe.
IV Movement Four
Resurrection, return, judgment, and a creation finally made new.
The resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in Christ, and their gathering together with the living to meet the Lord, is the imminent and blessed hope of the Church.
The return of Christ includes the rapture of the saints, our blessed hope, followed by His visible return with His saints to reign on earth for a thousand years : bringing the salvation of Israel and the establishment of universal peace.
There will be a final judgment in which the wicked dead are raised and judged according to their works. Whoever is not found written in the Book of Life is consigned to everlasting separation from God, the second death.
According to His promise, we look for new heavens and a new earth : the home of righteousness.
