Psalm 18 for leaders
Dear Louisiana Leader,
In these pivotal days, when so many challenges press in from every side and HOPE is both desperately needed and powerfully contagious, a few verses from remind us of WHO You Are and In Whose Strength You Stand. Verses 31-37 illustrate what it means to lead with Courage, Conviction, and Confidence. David, a leader shaped by adversity and anointed for influence, declared:
“For who is God, but the Lord? And who is a rock, except our God?— the God who equipped me with strength and made my way blameless... He trains my hands for war... Your gentleness made me great... I pursued my enemies and did not turn back till they were consumed.”
For every leader determined to #dogreatthings in our generation:
Three truths for leaders
1. God Is Our Rock and Source of Strength
Our Hope is not rooted in political power or personal charisma—it is grounded in the Lord. He alone equips us with strength, steadies our feet, and gives clarity to our path. Leadership without His strength quickly becomes self-reliance. But with Him, YOU ARE Unshakable.
2. God Trains and Prepares Us for the Battle Ahead
We are not in neutral times or neutral places. We are called to the public square of education, business, family, and community —We are in a spiritual battle for values, truth, and souls. God is actively equipping us for the unique battles ahead. Not just to endure—but to overcome.
3. God’s Gentleness Makes Us Great
What a surprising and humbling truth: it is not Force, Fame, or Fortune that makes us GREAT—it is the gentleness of God. His grace and patient kindness shape our hearts, forming the greatness that lasts. In a culture hungry for greatness, may we be marked by gentleness, courage, and truth.
Made for this moment
The path before us may not be Easy, but it is anointed. Now is the time to Stand Firm, Speak Boldly, Love Deeply, and Lead Humbly. We were made for this moment—not by accident, but by the hand of God.
So let us rise with PURPOSE, lead with FIRE, and serve with INTEGRITY. Let us #DoGreatThings for His glory and for the good of people we have been Called to Serve...
