Strong and Healthy, Defined

Righteousness exalts a nation

The Stability of any nation, culture, or organization rests upon the strength and health of leadership. reminds us that, “Righteousness exalts a nation.” Righteousness by its own definition includes the actions of integrity, justice, and truthfulness. It also is the position of approved, justified, and forgiven. Faith creates the space for “righteousness” to be declared and the potential for righteousness to be our daily destiny! Righteousness really is the foundation that creates a Strong and Healthy nation and a Strong and Healthy leader. Strong and Healthy continues to be the priority of our Network office. We are praying for you and continuing to plan a variety of ministries and opportunities for all of us to reach this goal. We want you to be a strong and healthy leader.

Questions I ask myself

Over the years, ministers have asked me to define or clarify that phrase. When engaging those conversations, I often ask the following questions to help evaluate current positions. These are questions I ask myself to keep me on the path to Strong and Healthy.

Does Shalom (Biblical Peace) surround your soul?
What/Who is bothering you? What/Who keeps you up at night?

Do you regularly practice Sabbath?
Can you define and describe what you do for rest and rejuvenation?

Do you have atmospheres for Honest Communication?
With whom do you share your struggles, pains, and realities?

Do you have spiritual disciplines that create victory?
Are you losing in the same areas for long seasons?

Do you have relationships that add value?
Who speaks life into you?

Are you maturing spiritually?
Where are you growing? How are you different?

Are you growing professionally?
What are you learning?

I’d love to hear any of your thoughts on how you create and maintain strength and health in your life.

LeaderCare grows

Over the last several years Charlie Allo and a team of leaders have taken Leader Care to a new level among our Next Gen Leaders. They have had discussion times to identify areas of need and created atmospheres and gatherings to develop deeper relationships and cultures of health. I have asked Charlie and his team to expand and broaden their activity to include all our leaders. This team will begin scheduling and rolling out invitations as we meet, assess, and plan how to take Strong and Healthy to a deeper experience for ALL our leaders. Please be watching for your invitation to be involved.

Two last mentions

Two last mentions in my note to you...

  • Please save the day of Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2024. This will be a special day of prayer conducted at the Tabernacle at Twin Lakes Campground. I believe starting the year praying and worshiping together will usher in the New Year in an amazing manner. I am inviting AS MANY AS POSSIBLE to join us for a 10am to 2pm time of Prayer in the Tabernacle.
  • We still have a few places left for our Greece Trip on March 4-14. It will be an amazing trip through Greece and concluding in Rome. Please see our website for all the details or call the office with any questions.

Blessings,

Pastor Scott
