A Hallmark dream
Dear Friends,
Just Yesterday I left the gym after working out. I had benched a personal best of 300lbs and then ran one of my fastest 5K times in years. I ran a 21-minute 5K, that’s a sub-7-minute mile average! I made it home and ate a plant-based vegan dinner and settled in for an evening of managing finances and completing my level 10 lesson of learning Mongolian… As soon as I woke up from this dream, I told Kara she has to stop playing those “Hallmark” movies on TV before I go to bed. Those perfect worlds of make-believe are starting to affect my dreaming!
God-given dreams
Those “weird” dreams might be attributed to crazy movies or bad meals before bedtime, but there is another set of dreams. Those wild dreams that God births in you: dreams of souls and ministry; dreams of supernatural miracles and church planting; dreams of Kingdom building and people responding to Jesus; dreams of making a difference and impacting a community. I am praying for you and your God-given dreams during this Holiday Season. I know some have been holding on to your dreams for a long time, with little or no movement. I know some have even laid those dreams down or filed them away in the “impossible” bin. May we all be challenged and encouraged to remember the promise in the face of all those impossibilities. Like Abraham, keep believing and don’t allow time, age, physical limitations, or cultural resistance to cause you to give up. Our Network Team is praying for YOU and YOUR dream. We stand ready to serve you any way we can and would love to help you see your dream become reality.
Dates and details
As you celebrate the holiday season with church and family, I wanted to send a few reminders about dates and details for the upcoming months.
- It’s time for your credential renewal with the deadline being December 31st. The online form can be found at https://ministerrenewal.ag.org and the paper version is available for those still completing that way. You should have already received that in the mail. Please contact Brenda Viator if you have any questions about renewal.
- Pastors, it’s also time for our Church Ministry Report (ACMR). These reports have been greatly simplified and can be done in a matter of minutes online at https://acmr.ag.org. These reports are a great value for us in Louisiana as we evaluate ministry and plan for the future. Pastors, please help us by completing this year’s ACMR.
- Save the dates for our 2023 Lead Conference. We are gathering APRIL 24th -25th in Alexandria. We will be meeting at the Alexandria Convention Center with evening services held at our Campground in Woodworth. More Registration and Hotel details with be coming in January.
- Check out our Louisiana Network calendar at https://www.laaog.org/calendar to stay up to date and connected with activities and ministry we are offering for you.
- CMN Conference is NOT just for church planters. It’s an amazing conference that will encourage and inspire you and your team. The dates are March 6th-8th and will be held in Houston. Check out https://www.cmnconference.com for details and registration. I’d love to see you there!
Merry Christmas
