Off to the races
Dear Louisiana Leader,
The New Year has begun, and we are off to the races. No one can predict the future and certainly none of us can accurately foretell what the next twelve months will look like. I know we all have our desires and dreams for 2022. And if we could:
- We all would love to see Covid go away, forever.
- We all wish that attendance would eclipse 2019 numbers.
- We all dream of conversation that would not include the words vaccine, mask, or mandate.
- We would like an easy year to coast, relax, and recoup from the last long season of battle.
Certain about one thing
I have already heard the typical New Year’s language of leaders promising our break-through season, God’s desire to do a New Thing, and my favorite so far is 22 Paths to Prosperity in 2022. Though I love breakthrough moments and new things of God, I am convinced of only one thing as I enter into 2022. reminds us that we do not know what tomorrow will bring. Tomorrow is unpredictable. Though uncertainty shrouds the details of the future, we do know one thing about tomorrow. We know God Himself promises He will never leave, abandon, forget, or forsake us (). In the uncertainty of the days ahead, I am certain that the Holy Spirit is moving in you to comfort, encourage, empower, and enlighten as well as moving through you to evangelize, engage, equip, and proclaim. In every challenge of 2022, there is potential for the most grace-filled, power-packed, life-changing year for you and your ministry.
First-quarter ministry events
Here are a few ministry events taking place as we enter the first quarter of our New Year.
- Lasom is starting another great year of equipping leaders. Lasom offers so many opportunities for learning. From credentialing to Biblical certificates, Brenda Viator and her team continue to create an anointed environment for equipping leaders. For registration or more information, you can go online at www.laaog.org/lasom
- We are celebrating 2 new church plants ready to launch this quarter of 2022.
- Community Church in New Iberia // Pastors Jacob and Grace LeBlanc
- Purpose Church in Bossier City // Pastors Dusty and Chantal Smalls
- Our annual Men’s Conference will take place at the Twin Lakes Campground on March 3-5. Our Men’s Director, Shawn Johnson and his team are geared up for an amazing 3-day retreat at the campground! Registration will open January 15th at laaog.org
- Mo Seneca is our new LFTL director. Pastor Mo is known and loved throughout our entire Network. He is reengaging this critical piece of missions’ support. We will be revealing a few LFTL ministry events in the near future.
- Save the date for our Lead Conference which will be held at Crossroads, Lafayette on April 25th-26th. We are already praying into our event and planning the details of speakers, breakouts and activities. Start making your plans now to participate in our annual gathering.
We stand ready
Please know that our entire Network Office team stands ready to serve you, your family, and your ministry in any manner. We believe in you, pray for you, and most definitely love you!
