Acknowledge those who labor
Dear Leader,
I pray you are enjoying these beautiful days leading up to Resurrection Sunday! I’ve been reflecting on Paul’s words in , where he urges the church to “acknowledge those who work hard among you, who care for you in the Lord and who admonish you… hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work.” Leadership in the Kingdom is never merely positional; it is deeply pastoral. Each of you diligently carries the load of your pastoral and presbyter post; you lead multitudes of people, you handle the pressures of ministry, you pray through all the possibilities, you prepare, you preach, and you plan. I THANK GOD for the way you continue to shepherd faithfully in this season.
The mission never pauses
I apologize for missing our last DLT meeting due to sickness. I was disappointed not to be there, but I am so thankful for this team's strength. One of the clearest marks of a healthy team is when the mission never pauses because others step in seamlessly. I heard the meeting went extremely well, and that encourages me deeply.
LeaderCare Zooms
I know Charlie shared our next steps on LeaderCare and our ongoing Presbytery formation journey. He also mentioned that the next sessions via Zoom are important moments for alignment and encouragement. These Zooms continue to help clarify and strengthen our culture of “Leaders helping Leaders.” Please mark your calendars for the upcoming Zoom gatherings:
- Knowing the Season March 25(Zoom) @ 8:30am
Focus: Understanding leadership Seasons and discerning where our leaders are. - Teams: Carrying the Load Together April 22(Zoom) @ 8:30am
Focus: Developing the shared leadership, resources, and energy of team-based ministry.
More details and links will be sent as we get closer to each date, but I want to share these dates so you can add them to your calendar.
Lead Conference 2026
I also want to personally remind and invite you to Lead Conference 2026, April 27–28, at The Assembly in West Monroe. Our annual gathering is always an important meeting for our Network. It’s an anointed time of spiritual renewal, leadership strengthening, and relational connection across Louisiana. I strongly encourage every presbyter to be present and to encourage leaders from your sections to join you.
Registration is open now through the Louisiana Ministry Network website (www.laaog.org). We encourage you to pre-register, as it helps us plan and prepare with excellence.
Congratulations to Ed Held, he was elected this week to our Newley Restructured Leesville Area.
Thank you again for WHO you are and HOW you serve. I am honored to walk alongside you. We truly are better together, and I believe the Lord is positioning our team for meaningful impact in this next season.
Blessings,
Pastor Scott
