Statute on Weapons in Church & Concealed Carry Permits
The document reproduces Louisiana Revised Statute ยง 40:1379.3, which governs concealed handgun permits and where they are valid in the state; under this law generally no concealed handgun permit entitles a person to carry a concealed weapon into a church, synagogue, mosque, or similar place of worship unless authorized by the person with authority over that place, and it lists various locations where concealed handguns are prohibited, such as law enforcement buildings, courthouses, polling places, and other restricted zones, while also outlining how permits are issued, qualifications, confidentiality of applications, and related conditions.
